The Mystery of Missing Towels

Ever notice how every time you check a room after turnover, at least one towel is missing? It’s like they make a run for it the moment you walk out! I once tracked towel inventory for a full month, and the data had a hilarious spike after weekends. Just curious if anyone else has their own towel vanishing stories.

Those towels really know how to escape! I’ve noticed the same thing, especially after big events. Maybe we need to start putting GPS trackers on them — imagine the stories they’d tell! Anyone else tried keeping a count during peak times?

I had a similar experience tracking towels after a big convention. It’s crazy how they seem to disappear right around the time guests are checking out! Maybe we need to put a small fee on towel loss, just to encourage some accountability. @jasonrobinson21, what do you think?

I once worked a night shift where we had a bunch of towels mysteriously vanish after a wedding — turns out, guests were sneaking them out in their luggage! After that, we started stapling inventory tags on them — it didn’t stop every towel from disappearing, but it helped us keep track at least.
